Success v Failure

The first key to success is defining what the terms success and failure mean to YOU. It is important that these terms are defined by you and not by someone else. Only when you truly have a definition of what it means to be successful and what it means to fail can you concentrate your visualization and efforts on living in the successful category.

To me, success is defined as striving to achieve one’s goals without accepting failure as an option. This does not mean that every time I do not reach a goal I fail. Quit the opposite. To me, not achieving my set goals and continuing to strive for them is considered a success. This is because when failure is not on one’s mind, success if the only option available. Like my definition of success, failure is when one does not achieve the goals set out and accepts that the goal will never be accomplished. When a mind begins to think about the possibility of failure, the body has a tendency to follow and end up failing.

As you sit and think about your own definitions of success and failure, make sure that you allow success to be always achievable. Only once you are able to eliminate all of the thoughts of failure will you be able to change your life into one that only incorporates success. While this is only the beginning of a long process of change, it is a vital step in the process of mentally knocking down all of the brick walls that your mind places in between you and your goals.
